When was the last time you spotted this little cute bird? On the verge of extinct, we now hardly get to spot these childhood companions. What’s amazing though is the efforts that are being led towards keeping them alive, and increasing their clan.
Happened to meet one such person yesterday, who is upcycling carton boxes to create nests and hang them in the urban balconies, or on the terraces, to help the sparrows foray into our homes.
Here are a few pictures of his creations. His passion in driving the cause is bot something that can be captured in words or pictures though. 🙂
The attention to detail! He is showing us the little arrangement for the Mother sparrow to sit and feed her young.
The Mangalyaan nest 🙂 This 70plus years old (?) SharmaJi is so creative too. 🙂
Reach out to him, and let us save and aid creation of more of them. 🙂
Thought I might have to skip posting from Delhi, but my heart so wanted to stick to the commitment, and experience that joy of completing this on time. Keeping fingers crossed for the restbof the days too. Have more such interesting stories to share. 🙂
