Rash, we have a very vague idea of education and think every child needs to be educated. While the truth is that most drop out after school because colleges are few, charge money, far from their houses and so on. Then, they neither do what their parents do because they think they are educated nor do they get to study further. This is true esp. for boys. Ground realities are quite different from what we think they are 😦

Just the other day, my cook was telling me that her child doesn’t want to study. So I told her about vocational training, of how she could learn other skills that can help her stand on her own feet. Not sure if she would take it up though..
