Ofcourse it has got to be a special day right? πŸ™‚ – Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birthday. Tell me which other personality’s words are so relevant and are as or even more powerful even after 150 years!!!!!! I can name few other things which have the same impact or find as much acceptance after all this time.

So, here’s how we spent the day in pictures. We had organized a ‘Vivekananda March’, getting together children from slums where we work, and boy! what an ocean of positivity it was!

Men lend a helping hand too

And so do the little men. Do you see a bright future ahead? πŸ™‚

Since men who bear equal load in the family do not make it to the news, esp. from these backgrounds!

The little ones up and ready as early as 7.30 am πŸ™‚

The eldest in the slum performs the Puja and Aarti before we begin

And then we march!:)

There was a ‘Rebuild India’ walk organized by Ramakrishna Math, but we could not make it as the timings conflicted 😦 However, I was really eager to go to the Math today and especially excited about the 150 ft flag they had carried along the walk.

Look at how amazing it is! Filled with the inspiring quotes of Swamiji! Β [Pic from their FB page]

Happy National Youth Day everyone πŸ™‚ So how is your weekend going? And how many of you are on vacation over this long weekend? I am really planning to get some rest tomorrow before we start preparations for Sankranthi πŸ™‚
