….. and the title only means that this post is totally random 😛
Tara had posted this on FB recently ‘The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time‘ and I did exactly that today 😛 We got up early as Su had to go out with a friend for some work and I spent the morning with a nice book in hand, with absolutely nothing to do!
We celebrated another friend A’s entry into YFS full-time by going out for lunch 🙂 It was his last day at work yesterday and Su, me, A and friend S gorged over a sumptuous Rajasthani thali at Rajdhani and had awesome fun discussing about everything under the sun; well, this is to be read as the three of them trying to pull my legs at every possible opportunity!
Post-lunch session was again at S’s house just chit-chatting and stripping through his library! He has a superb collection of books, most of which are with me at any given point of time 😛 I just added some more to the list today 😉 What bliss it is to have so many books to choose from 🙂
I took this pic of one of the show-pieces at his place, which Uncle and Aunty had bought from Amsterdam! I sooo luv those two cuties in front 🙂 Forgive the blurry pic pls! This one is actually a candle stand, with a provision for placing one behind.
Aunty then gave us some new drink she had made by boiling fresh raw mangoes and it tasted absolutely delicious – the perfect cooling agent for the Hyderabadi heat 😀 She also gave me freshly-ground idli batter to take care of 2mrw’s breakfast 🙂 Like they say, ‘If you want to feel rich, just count all of the things you have that money can’t buy.’
S then sacrificed his laptop for me 😉 and reminded me that I better finish posting for the day bcoz we had plans for a stroll along Hussain Sagar and dinner at Eat Street in the evening. Thank God for such understanding friends 😛
The day ended with a fab time at Eat Street, with sis joining us too and was spent over chats, Pizza, mocktails and ice-cream laid over a table overlooking the colourfully-lit Hussain Sagar! All in all, a day spent doing technically nothing, but many things you love with people close to your heart 🙂
Oh btw, saw this Ganesha at one of the schools where we are conducting a summer camp. Nice summer-shelter no 🙂
And yayyyyyy Nadal won! So, one happy weekend this sure is 😀 Hope you all had a great time too and wish u a very happy weekend ahead 🙂 Good nite 😀
