This reminded me of my own mom’s ‘haath ka bana’ avakkai and lime pickles!!! Absolutely to die for! No readymade, bottled pickle can hold a candle to these home-made, mom-made yummos, can they?
I’ve been dying to get my mom to send some from Mumbai, unfortunately couriers don’t carry this stuff!!

Mango pickle is totally *drool* material. For safety throw a piece away. Plenty of eyes drooling and you don’t want to suffer from stomach aches :P.

About the puliyogare mix – I tried several ones in shop and found them not so good. I feebly learnt how to make them, but have no clue on how to preserve them. Any tips? Its pretty tough making them everytime you want, though I wouldn’t mind….
