I am extremely happy!

Yet again, I am posting for the second time in a day, just minutes apart, but I so wanted to share my happiness with all of u 🙂

My blog friend Sri had a superb, unique, creative story-writing contest on his blog and I am so so happy to say I have won the same! Thank u so much Sri 🙂 U made my day 🙂

What makes it all the more special for me is that Sri has made a painting himself. He has been so thoughtful and kind to customise it for me. Abt the painting, he says Its denoting your blog picture and the very first post you have written about how life echo’s our thoughts, I am sure everyone know why the musical notes are there ;)’

Sri is going to get it laminated and send it to me 😀 I just can’t tell u how grateful I am Sri 🙂 Am nt sure if I really deserve the prize; the other stories were gr8! But, I am really really thankful to u! If you would not have come up with such a wonderful contest, I would have never attempted any such thing 🙂

This is the painting which is gonna adorn my walls 🙂 Its awesome isn’t it 🙂

Sri’s would-be was the judge and I thank her a lot for her kind words abt the story  ‘Very creative yet realistic story with optimism. We all make mistakes but the best thing is to deal with it, move forward and find our purpose in life. The story also insists that a woman should stand up for herself”

The contest ws one in which Sri had shared 10 pictures and we had to create a story using them.

The pics are as follows:

And here’s my attempt at writing a story 😉

Pic 3. She always dreamt of her Prince Charming as a superman and found him in a wrestler She gave him her heart @ first sight, during one of the bouts.

Pic 2. He was the only one she could call her own, being orphaned @ a very young age 😦 and she believed he would always hold her hand and lead her through.

Pic 9. Until she saw him with his lovely family one day and realized she had been cheated 😦

Pic 10. She felt very guilty for having moved with a family man, though she never knew that and decided to punish herself.

Pic 7. She started climbing the hills surrounding her lovely town which she loved doing, the difference being that she would not climb down this time but bid good-bye to life!

Pic 4. It was the formation day of her town and there was a festive atmosphere all around. Dancers, singers, and jokers all possible types of entertainment marked this day every year.

Pic 1. A blur but beautiful picture of the town being painted with fun and merriment greeted her. Memories of the previous years where she used to dance happily, swaying to the melodies brought a smile on her face unknowingly.

Pic 5. She felt like a vast ocean of thoughts, both good and bad, had surrounded her lonely self all @ once.

Pic 6. The joy and happiness which filled her heart made her realize what a grave mistake she was committing. If she had one reason to die, she had 100 more to live!!!! The bird of guilt escaped from the cage of her heart and flew far far away.

Pic 8. She came back and adopted a sweet li’l baby girl from her orphanage. The baby would no longer be an orphan.. it had found a mother. She had in turn found a daughter … found a beautiful reason to live 🙂
LIFE IS ALL ABOUT FINDING SOLUTIONS 🙂

It might sound too dramatic but I really can’t explain how happy I am feeling. Its so nice to have that painting especially :)Thank God for the sweet gift 🙂

Thanks again Sri and better-half. May the Lord shower all his choicest blessings on you 🙂

Congrats to all the winners and the other praticipants too 🙂

  7. That s one helluva story. Congrats and Bravo my girl. You’ll definitely go ‘literary’ places 😛
And how did it occur to you to shuffle the pics and deduce the meanings? I’d thought it has to be done in an order. Of course I can be very stupid in thinking sometimes 🙂

A very beautiful story… Just with some 10 random pics, you were able to knit such a lovely story with a noble theme… No words to say… simply superb…
Oh u liked it? Am so happy 🙂 All thanks to Sri for the pics 😉
This is one thought that crept into my mind when I was having breakfast… There wont be any orphans if everyone adopt a orphan child… And I reading here a story with a same thought… So coincidental…
Wow! Telepathy 😀 What a noble thought there 🙂

I ws mighty impressed by Ravi Gulati 🙂

I had this way before Mystery .. found it a bit too much .. the page gets really long .. the thing is if I change the no. of posts to be shown for the month, this one changes too 😦 I would prefer single post here but more no. of posts when the monthly archive is selected!

  11. Oh my!!!! Haven’t read the other stories, but this interpretation was brilliant & what a lovely message too!!! There’s a sort of crisis in one part of my family right now & what I’m telling them is what I’ve read here: life is about finding solutions. Its too short & too precious for us to be bogged down by problems…..so find the solution & make the best of it.
