Macaroni – 1 cup [1 cup yields 1.5 cup on cooking]
Cheddar cheese cubes – 1/4 cup

To be mixed together for the salad dressing:

Walnuts – 1/4 cup [finely chopped]
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp mixed herbs
1/2 tsp roasted chilli flakes


Take ample water in a large vessel, add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tbsp of oil and allow to boil. Now add the fusilli slowly and cook by stirring continuously. Fusilli takes about 12-15 min to be cooked well. Strain the water, combine the cooked macaroni and cheddar cheese and refrigerate till serving time. To serve, mix the refrigerated macaroni and cheese with the salad dressing, toss well and serve.
