Look at when I updated this page last! Hasn’t 2011 gone by real fast?
I know I sound over-mushy, silly, hopelessly romantic whatever – but I miss Su really badly even if he is away for just a couple of days I do count days and hours, and can’t wait for him to get back. Work keeps me busy, I have my hobbies, friends and everything else but…….. I still do! And I keep seeing a few of my fav pics [and sometimes even make headers out of them ], and replaying few of my romantic faves, like this one
Just love this song – Farida Khanum’s voice is nothing less than magical!
“Patriotism knows no language. Lets come together to free our country from the prejudices that divide us…The prejudices of language, region & religion. “
Makes us realize how much we owe to our country ! Let’s stop cribbing and start working!
The A.C room, the comfy chair, the provision to type away to glory and to read updates from every nook and corner of the world seated where I am – sipping water from the bottle filled and left at my desk before I arrive @ work – don’t we take too many things for granted? Sigh! This is such a reminder to count my blessings and try my bit to reduce water wastage! This video pulls at the strings of your heart – Wonderful lyrics, soothing music and such a great message conveyed through the innocent eyes of the little girl! How I wish it was not really so
In their own words ‘This song is inspired by the Kaveri’s story, of her waters that have seen a bitter dispute between two neighboring states. It is a lament of a mother, whose children wage pitched battles amongst themselves over her love, not knowing that they are brothers.

Can’t believe I have not updated this page for so long! Blame it on Pal, she made me all mushy today by sharing this one on FB. I was already in a how-can-I-ever-thank-you-Su mode after all that he did for his viral-struck wife yesterday with that never-fading-smile to top it all! I can never thank my stars enough for having you in my life sweetheart. Do forgive me for all those tantrums I throw, for all those weak moments where I yell @ you, for telling you 501 times that you are just not made for me – U know that’s not the fact, don’t you?
This song never fails to bring tears in my eyes and goosebumps on me. What a composition by Rahman! One of my all time favourite patriotic songs What’s yours?
Was watching India’s Got Talent the past weekend and found this group really inspiring. Their theme was ‘Music out of waste‘ A group of small kids and daily-wage workers, they used only household utensils, waste materials etc.. to produce superb music out of them! See it to believe it! AWESOME!

Jo Kho Gaya Maein Usko Bhulata Chala Gaya
This song plays on DDBharti many times a day and I luvvvvv it The best thing is that every person has been given his due share .. be it sportsmen, musicians .. awesome!
One of my all-time favourites. What a lovely composition on National Integration
Watched Rudali yet again over the weekend on DD. Bhupen Hazarika’s music is sheer magic. Add to it Lata’s melodious voice and what we have is a winner! One of my all time fav songs. Dimple’s simple look and oh-not-so-simple role just add to the glory.
Dil Hoom Hoom Kare from Rudali !
17th Feb’10 This song is dedicated to my Ajji [my maternal grandma]. She was a wonderful singer and we used to love to this song from her. Romance was oozing out of every note. I think its the beautiful relation she shared with my grandpa. At a time when it was not so common, she had a say in all matters @ home, grandpa used to share the household chores with her and they were one couple who never complained, rather were happy having their 5 lovely daughters. This song is specially for u Ajji. U both have left me physically, but I still feel you are with me always.
‘Ye Zindagi Usi ki Hai‘ from Anarkali
Music is an indispensable part of my life. I used to love visiting the page dedicated to Music on so many blogs that I love reading, but don’t have an answer to W.H.Y I never thought of having one myself till today. There’s a time for everything me thinks and it is today, the 15th of Feb, 2010
Highway On My Plate on NDTV Good times is one of my favourite programs on TV [ I watch only Travel, Wildlife and Cookery shows ] and the ‘Jai Hind‘ Series which is currently being showcased on the same always starts with the song by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

We just cannot thank our soldiers enough for keeping vigil over the borders day and night for us to live in peace. God bless them and may we say a day when their efforts bring the desired harmony! Jai Jawaan!
