I am always amazed by the beautiful pieces of art that the potters churn out! Doesn’t it look magical while they make those artefacts appear from almost nowhere, and in no time?
Had been to a carnival yesterday morning, and spent so much time looking at him working on the wheel!
Just a simple action of the hands they make it seem, and Voila!, u see a masterpiece already
Forgive the not-very-good quality of the video, my Nokia can do only that much
Ahh the sweet smell of first place
*sakshi plasters a handful of that Potter’s mitti on the vampire’s face for landing first here*
*Bratula plasters the potter’s special milagai podi on yakshis eyes! *
Why is tht the pottery wheel always remind me of tht famous patrick swayse-demi moore scene frm ‘ghost’?
Because instead of a vampire it had a good ghost
Oh u mean to say im bad
Hehe i like tht!
bcoz you are a pervert!!!
or maybe it could be bcoz vampires have good photographic memory
Did you give it a try..
Yhanks for sharing..
They were nt allowing anybody to
Yup it fascinates me too. lolz trust you to add a patriotic song piece to the video
srk’s swades song *respect*
Baah! *ARR’s music* respect! That’s it!
Me too! I wud so luv to!:)
I too want to give it try…. Lets see when do i get a chance…
Hmm same here
you know when i read ur title, i thot tht it would be abt the smell of soil when it rains first…..
Yes me too!!
Beautiful, Swaram! The surrounding also is so clean, no mitti anywhere else! The video is quite good.
Thanks Sandhya
My simple Nokia phone does well at times
Whos Mitti ??? Is she cute ??? Single or not doesnt matter anymore !
Oh, this post was about that mitti !!! I thought you were referring to the fragrance of some female named Mitti ! naansense !!!
she is the sister of chitti the robot..Beware!!
Hey bhagwaan!
Gud one Brat
Agree completely! It’s beautiful and fascinating too, to see these craftsmen create magic with mud and clay!

One of the MNCs who are our CSR partners
i know “chinna thambi” ka kushboo..mitti nu any movie came of hers??
LOLz
I find it absolutely fascinating too! There is something about the wheel that creates such beautiful pieces. I always wanted to learn pottery – just to get a feel of it, you know. Just the other day, I cam across a pottery wheel for kids – I have picked it up(for Santa, you see), and if she does not like it, I will have a go at it
Oh wow! What a cute gift that is gonna make
Well, turns out, pottery making is not so simple, after all
We did make something, which we claim is a pot
I know..its awesome na..and everytime you see it, its like amazing!
Ya R’s Mom
Makes me want to fall at the feet of the person who makes it. so skilful and beautiful……!

Wow awesome Vidya! I hv nt got a chance as yet
Can’t see anything in office
have u tried switching on the lights?
U and ur comments Brat! Hmmpf!:P
Couldnt watch the video .. but watching a potter in action is indeed amazing!!
yep especially in IMAX
Ya it is
Watching them is as if creation is at the tip of their fingers and the acceleration of their feet. I am always in aww of them.. something that looks so easy, but takes ages to master. Live action many times! couldn’t watch the video here!
Oh ya!:)
Nothing better than being creative with something so elemental and natural as mitti.
I took pottery in school once. SUPW was mandatory and I picked pottery thinking it would be fun. It was fun but none of the “creations” I came up with were worth taking back home!
Beautifully said Mandy!
Wow! U hd that too in SUPW – lucky u
every piece of art is fascinating… pottery is one.. the way they make those shapes are something beautiful
i wonder who makes those pointy ears of batman
Thanks Brat for taking on the task of replying to all comments on this post

It’s really an amazing thing to watch, mitti gets converted to beautiful pots n no time, only experts can do so though…I hope I get a chance to try this out one day…
